Food, Fun, & Shopping

WOW! What a week-end I had. On Friday morning I met Wendi at her house & we (minus children) headed to Lancaster. We were going to have a "mommy week-end" as she called it.
Motel reservations had been made and we were set for a nice week-end away. We had a terrific meal on Friday night at Good n Plenty. If you have never eaten here, you don't know what you have missed.
After dinner we drove through the outlet mall to see where we wanted to shop on Saturday. Then we went to the motel and settled in for the night. We were up fairly early on Saturday morning to head to our most favorite breakfast at Shady Maple. Now if you have never eaten here you have not had the best breakfast in the whole world. You can get the very best pancakes here! Yes, they are even better than McDonald's! What a line to get in; I think we waited for 15 minutes; but it was so worth the wait. We learned that we won't go on a week-end again. After breakfast, then we went downstairs to shop. The first leg of our Saturday Shopping Spree! To make a long story short we shopped until we dropped. Wendi was going to look for a new bookcase; but we had too many packages. I guess that means we will have to make another trip to get the bookcase. We went back to Good n Plenty for dinner. This time we had another wonderful meal. We had a nice older couple sit by us and so we had good conversation & good food. What a great combination!
Sunday was the day to head back home. We had the task of finding a place to eat breakfast. We ate at Millers; it wasn't any where near as good as Shady Maple :( Guess we won't be going back there!
We were glad to get back home and sleep in our own beds. If you get a chance to go on a "mommy week-end" go & enjoy your time. Thanks Wendi for asking me to go with you. It was great to be with you and catch up on everything without "little ears"
