I know it has been a while since I have blogged & you are tired of seeing the same old story. Well, I am going to update you now.
Late afternoon on Tuesday, we headed to IN for C.'s graduation party. I was in hopes that we would get into OH; but alas, my butt got tired of riding. Can you imagine that?! We only made it to Erie, PA and I said "enough". We got a room at Red Roof and believe me it was worth the money that it cost me.
We ate breakfast at McDonald's the next morning. Yummy, that is such a treat for me :) and then we headed for IN. Of course, we had to stop every 2 hours for a "pit stop." We arrived at the motel around 4:30ish.
This time our room was wonderful! It was a handicap accessible room and I can't sing its praises enough. It really wasn't all that expensive either. The motel was the Baymont Inn & Suites. I would be happy to stay there again, if I was ever going out there again!
It was good to see everyone out there and to catch up on all the exciting things in there corner of the world.
C. graduated from kindergarten & mom & dad had a nice party for him. He received some really nice gifts. He was lucky enough to get a flat $5.00 bill. I really would like to have swapped with him but he didn't know what I was talking about. I think one of the nicest gifts he received was "Stanley" and I am sure some of you are going to be meeting him real soon. Be nice to him as he is a nice little fellow.
I said, that I wasn't going out there again. The reason being is that every time I have been out there the weather has been bad. This time there were tornado warnings. YUCK! When we got ready to leave their house on Friday the thunder & lightening were horrid and the wind was even worse. I was wishing that I was back in good Ole' NYS.
We left around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and we had nice weather for most of the trip but once we hit NYS we had rain, rain, & more rain! Oh well, that is how it goes. I was glad to get home.
Happy Father's Day to my sons & to my son-in-law. You guys are the best & I love you all!
